This video is about mental and emotional health. We talk about EMDR therapy, ego, depression, suicide, demons, prayer, tools, and PTSD. Life is beautiful and amazing, but it can also be a dark, lonely and painful. Phone a friend. Use the buddy system. And use the right tools for the job. There are a lot of parallels to self maintenance and automotive maintenance. There’s also new technologies and specialized disciplines to both. One of them being eye movement desensitization reprocessing.

I can't express with elegance what this video means to me. In our short visit together I stumbled to express my excitement for you to have your new garage. As you may recall, it had a lot to do with my father and his inability to show his love for me. The garage was "our center." We both felt comfortable being together because the work was our common ground and it was our O K. Having my garage and work remains my most important equalizer to deal with the hard things in life. You are a well educated and elegant speaker. Something I have always struggled with. I respect your abilities as a mechanic, a teacher and you are an inspiration. Spanky told me you "go out of your way to help others" and I see that in you. You have helped so many that you will never know, including this humble old man. Thank you Brian.

PTSD can often be the realization of what evil lies within us all. We must feel the roots deep into hell before we can grow into the heavens

Not living up to the standards of what u and society set seems to cause a lot of inner turmoil. Let go of that and remember we didn’t come into this world like aliens…we came out it

Kudos to your sir for "exposing" yourself on your public forum. Welcome to life as we know it now. I have always found intense prayer to the Almighty a great great stress reliever. He never sleeps. He always cares. He is always there for us. "I will lie down and sleep in peace, For you alone, O Jehovah, make me dwell in security." Psalm 4:8

Brian, I drifted away for quite a while and came across this video. I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm passing this on to a young man that is working for me. His mormor (Checking your Swedish here!) and I went to high school together. He has had some PTSD issues, is working through things with a therapist and doing some good things. I'm sending this to both Pam and Quintin. I think it will land really well with them. I've been working with Quintin doing carpentry on a log home I'm restoring for a client and he is like a sponge. We generally start the day with about a 30 minute talk session about what we've noticed in the last day and it sets us up to have a great and productive day. I think this will be a good reinforcement for what our conversations have been about. Keep up the great work and never let go of the vulerability. I'm one of the biggest cry babies you will ever meet. I was sharing with some clients last night about my dad going into WWII and it had all of us crying. It is so remarkable when you can do that and not be stopped by a fear of what others might think.
