8:20 do that PLEASE
Psychology of a driver-
Everyone is a mouth breather. Especially in minnesota.
Trust no one.
Take 0 chances.
Assume everyone is too retarded to check their blind spots.
Basic, simple but very important information for the beginners and arrogant riders.
I sent you this story on Instagram, but I find it pretty fitting to post here:
A few days ago I was waiting at a red light and I left a gap from the car in front of me because someone was in the middle lane wanting to turn left. I was in the left lane and the right lane was still moving. I was watching in my right mirror to help out the car if needed (to tell them when it was clear to go) when I see a lane splitter coming (I live in California where splitting/filtering is legal). The car starts to go as the splitter approaches (the right lane is still an open flowing lane but there is a break in traffic). At this point the motorcyclist has also stopped splitting due to the break in traffic and has established his place in the lane. I put up my hand to make the car stop and they decide not to commit to the turn seconds before the splitter passes. I'm not sure if they would have really gone if I didn't tell them to stop, but I'm glad I was there and aware of my surroundings to have possibly stopped a crash
Love the content especially as I’m looking into getting back on 2 wheels after a 13 year hiatus.
I thins a situational awareness video would be super helpful.
Yes please! Do a Video about situational awareness.
I have noticed that many drivers will have a "tell". One example… When I observe a car that seems to suddenly favor one side of their lane, I anticipate a lane change and will hold back and give space, because more often than not, they will do the lane change (no turn signal or head check of course).
A situational awareness vid sounds great!
Great Video as always! I am trying to teach my son how to ride, and road conditions and other drivers scare me to death. I have had many accidents in my younger days when you learned by getting road rash and thinking, 'Boy, I won't do that again'. I send your videos to my son for him to prep for the next step toward riding his motorcycle, but I learn from everyone you post.
I will becoming a patreon subscriber soon. I want him to start contributing as well as he sees the importance of your videos.
Yes, I would like a running dialog of why you position yourself, and recognize hazards during your ride. I think that will help him, and me in our riding skills. Thanks!
Hey dan. Your videos are very good but to keep putting videos showing crashes. Is not the way to go. Your only scaring people to ride. Putting more fear in people just teach on how to be safe but kill the putting on crashes. Hope u consider
