I gained my full motorcycle licence in 1971. Since then, I have ridden regularly for a total of about 23 years, and covered about 700,000Km. I endured a 20 year bikeless exile between 1986 and 2006, convinced I needed a car and unable to afford a second vehicle. Most of my mileage (about 550,000Km) has been in the past 10 years, on a Jawa and 3 BMWs (long commute).
On 2 wheels and 4, the practice have always found most disconcerting is that of people charging up to an intersection and braking at the last moment.
Close calls are a sure sign that you're riding like a fucking idiot.
A lot of good stuff… I’ve taken the basic msf course 2x. Different class every time. I disagreement: covering the front brake. Some riding forms teach coverage . Not using unless needed but covering.
