In today’s video, I’m discussing why I don’t have a snorkel on my 2021 Toyota Landcruiser Prado GXL (Lexus GX460). I will put forward 5 reasons why I don’t have a snorkel in the hope that it will save some of my viewers from unnecessary costs and damage to their vehicles.

I have placed the order for the 2022 Prado VX. After watching your videos, I decided not to lift the car or change the tyre. Your videos make more sense than others: no snorkel and no bull bar. Aso, I was looking for the Paint Protection Film or ceramic coating and about tint, but I guess you don't have any video on that. If you could make a video on that, that would be great as I am stuck now between whether I should get the ceramic coating or PPF and which one to get. Will be waiting for your next video on this topic.
Have you considered if you lost or damaged the wheel well liner. dust and water will be sucked in directly above the wheel. Plenty of toyotas have suffered this.
I’m adding a bullbar to my prado as I am doing allot of night driving. Additionally I am adding a safari snorkel. As the guards close up where the box gets it’s air and if water gets in there. For an insurance policy I’d go safari. Aussie made and proved. This is a 2013 prado. Plus I personally like the look of them
Oh look ! Common sense ! Been off-roading for 17 years, lived in remote community for 7 of them, seriously remote places, never owned, bought or needed a bullbar, lift kit or a snorkel. Water over the bonnet many times. All this stuff has it’s place, but 90% of the time it’s just flexing. When my new Prado arrives it’ll get no lift, snorkel or bullbar. If the water is too deep, I just don’t go in 🤷♂️
snorkel doesn't change the fact for factory water wading depth, which is to also protect the electrical components like alternator and fuses. And these "stanos" should really be regulated too. In the cases of accidents, these stanos becomes lethal weapons.
Hi Mark, does your prado has a kind of vibration or drone noise when the engine is at 1600-1800rpm? My car has this humming noise, someone said it's from the airintake box, a snokel is a solution to it.
you are intelligent, unfortunately most people are not lol 😆… as Edward Bernays discovered, some people want to "feel" like they built their car versus toyota engineers and assemblers… non-needed "modz" allow the buyer to trick his mind into thinking he "built his own car"
we have no lift, no snorkel, stock size tires, no bull bar, stock suspension…. we paid for Toyota offroad engineering and got it 🇺🇸 ✌️
When I was buying mine several years ago the sales person kept adding a snorkel to the quote despite being told I didn’t want one; finished up not buying from him didn’t like dealing with him (he was also the most expensive quote) – sales people are rarely engineers, their job is to sell.
