Happened to me once my shoe laces got caught in the shifter as I was coming to a red light I was freaking out cuz I couldn't put my foot down 🤦🏼‍♂️

  2. Ashley Lunn

Laces are a really good safety tip. You could come up to a light, hug a line, go to put your legs down and catch your peg possibly making you fall into a turning lane with moving traffic. Thanks for the video! Another good one for sure.

  3. Chris

What a beautiful ride that was. Wish I had scenery like that in South Texas. Great video, Dan. Thanks for posting

I had an R1100RT and the geometry of the wheels was such that any obstacle I encountered with the front wheel was shot into the rear wheel. When this happened, usually nails or screws, it punctured the rear tire. Because it was a Z rated tire, it could not be patched, so you have to buy a new tire. I never had a rear tire wear out. The most I ever had on the rear tire when I had to replace it ($200) was 2000 miles.

J&P cycles has good tire prices right now online. Less than 150 for 2 tires.

  6. Backstreet Zero

Some good ones there, I remember seeing a picture that someone had sent in to a bike mag of his wrist after going down wearing a chunky metal watch, carved out the inside of his wrist….the other one is guys ridding with the chain and lock across the body…crazy

  7. Joe Robo

I tuck my boot laces into my boot and blouse the pant cuff around the boot,USMC type. That prevents any irish pennants from wrapping around any bike parts

  8. Matt Pierce

Tires were maybe half worn on my dual sport, but they were dry rotting and the blocks were cracking at the base, so out they went. (Bought it used)

There’s just no excuse for riding with crappy tires. Your life depends on them!

  9. Eamonn McKeown

Ok I'm not a rider yet.
But at the 5:30 mark I noticed the underslung mirrors.
I remember Bikes and Beards reviewing one bike and not being very complimentary about their usefulness.

  10. Janet Greenslade

That first one is why I dont use those tool bags you strap to your torso!
