Footage of a novice driver rolling a vehicle at high speeds has emerged, with the young motorist escaping with minor injuries from the accident.

An unsupervised learner driver in Sydney has been caught on video rolling and crashing an SUV into a fence multiple times after driving at high speeds – first reported by 7News.

The novice driver was treated by paramedics for minor injuries while the vehicle was destroyed in the accident.

The incident occurred at 8:40am on Wednesday 1 November 2023 in the suburb of Kellyville –approximately 35 kilometres northwest of Sydney.

According to the 7News report, witnesses rushed to help the young motorist after seeing the vehicle roll countless times before hitting a tree and eventually stopping.

Arthur Sheen, a resident who saw the incident unfold told 7News: “I was absolutely horrified. I expected to come out and see dead bodies everywhere.”

The young driver’s permit was immediately suspended and they were given a traffic infringement notice for unsupervised and negligent driving as well as failing to display their L-plates.

Locals of the area said the stretch of road where the fence is located has had previous car accidents happen – with residents concerned for families who often walk along the street.
