Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1954 Chevy 3100 that spent its early years working as a forestry trunk in Washington and Oregon.
According to the seller, the previous owner gave the Chevy a refresh after it entered retirement, included were a fresh coat of turquoise paint, new tires and a new fuel tank.
The body features a color-matched grille, chrome headlight bezels, chrome 3100 badges on the hood sides, wooden stake sides on the bed, running boards, a driver-side rearview mirror painted in black, and US Forestry Service graphics displayed on the doors.
Equipped for the trails, a fire extinguisher is mounted on the driver-side running board, with a saw, pickax and shovel mounted in the bed of the truck.
The Chevy’s interior is outfitted in beige and black.
Power comes from a 235cid inline-6 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and working 6-volt electrical system.
The seller notes the odometer shows 35,531 miles, 300 of which were added during their ownership.
