After plenty of rumors and speculation, Ford finally brought the Maverick name back in June 2021. While the initial model – built between 1970 and 1977 – was offered as a two-door sedan and then as a four-door sedan, the new generation of the nameplate lands on a truck. Ford had to go with the market’s requests, of course. On sale at a starting price of $19,995, the Maverick is not only the cheapest, but it is also the smallest truck in Ford lineup and is placed under the Ranger. This doesn’t stop Ford from improving its off-road capabilities – just like it did with Maverick’s bigger brothers: the Ranger and the F-150. As of today, the XLT and Lariat trims of the Maverick can be updated with the addition of a new Tremor Off-Road Package that will add another $2,995 to the truck’s final price, but it represents a massive value for the money.
