When you think of Citroen, you rarely think of performance cars. The French carmaker is mainly known for producing quirky, practical cars where performance is, at best, an afterthought. But back when Citroen was cool and owned Maserati, it collaborated with tire manufacturer Michelin to create a crazy prototype for high-speed testing. This resulted in the 1973 Citroen SM Breadvan – the fastest front-wheel-drive car in the world.
