Jeep announced the original Grand Cherokee back in 1992 as a 1993 model. Since then, it went throw five major updates and more than seven million units were sold. The fifth generation was launched on January 7, 2021, and brought the biggest improvements so far, including the addition of a plug-in hybrid model. Now, to mark the model’s 30th anniversary, Jeep announced the Grand Cherokee 4xe 30th Anniversary Edition. It was displayed at the 2022 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and will be available for order later this year.
