BMW has always had its unique qualities, mostly the combinations of German build quality and the driving thrill built into their cars right from the development stage. However, when the current 8 Series debuted in 2018, it was a bit left field. By that point, SUVs were closing in on being the most popular kind of new car, and large, luxury coupes were going out of style, so the 8 Series was just a few years too late and has struggled ever since. Now,following a facelift for the 2023 model year, BMW may be considering reinvigorating the 8-series range, but not in that way you would think, or hope.
