Rolls-Royce Spectre - First All Electric Rolls-Royce Caught Testing Exterior Spyshots

Just like the prototype teased by Rolls Royce, this vehicle looks a lot like the Wraith from the side. However, do not let this view fool you, as the Spectre is going to be an all-new car.

First of all, the EV will not be built on the same CLAR platform that underpins the latest of BMW’s EV cars such as the i4 and iX. Instead, Rolls Royce will use the same modular “Architecture of Luxury” aluminum spaceframe as used for the Cullinan and Phantom. This decision was made because the flexibility of this platform will allow for cars like the successor of Wraith to still be offered with gasoline engines.

While the prototype wears a lot of camouflage, we can get a clear look of the front bumper and the split head light design that we know will be offered in the future BMW models. Also, the Spectre will be offered with the same suicide style door from the Wraith – or coach doors as Rolls-Royce calls them.

As for the final output, the initial rumors suggest the Spectre will deliver around 600 – 650 horsepower from a twin-motor setup.
