In what amounts to a digital victory lap, Mercedes-AMG isn’t done puffing its chest about its record-breaking conquest of the Nurburgring. Only a few days after the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series snatched the production car lap record from the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Mercedes-AMG has released the on-board video of the supercar’s record-setting lap time. GT3 racer Maro Engel piloted the GT Black Series to a record-setting lap time of 6:43.61, edging the Aventador SVJ’s 6:44.97 lap time by 1.36 seconds.
