Fully electric large van unveiled in the UK with an estimate driving range of over 200 kilometres.
The Peugeot Boxer Electric has been unveiled at the Birmingham commercial vehicle show.
The fully electric van will be offered with two electric drivetrains. The first has a range rating of 227km using the NEDC cycle, and will be available on the two shortest body lengths.
The longer bodies will use an uprated system with an estimated range of 272km.
Peugeot has yet to provide other details about the electric drivetrain, including power, torque, battery capacity and charging time. Additionally, prices have yet to be announced.
Both the Peugeot Boxer Electric and Citroen Relay Electric will be produced alongside their internal combustion siblings at the joint venture factory in Italy which also makes the Fiat Ducato.
BD Auto then installs the electric drivetrain and homologates the electric vans.
Electrified drivetrains are coming to the rest of the PSA Group’s van and people mover range.
From 2020, an electrified drivetrain will be offered in the Peugeot Expert and Traveller, Citroen Dispatch and SpaceTourer, and Vauxhall Vivaro and Vivaro Life.
In the size class down, the Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo will enter a new generation in 2021. These new models, along with their Opel and Vauxhall siblings, will also be offered with an electrified drivetrain.
