However, it is in no way, shape or form, a Ford Mustang. And the decision to call it that is completely bewildering. Call it Colt, or some other frivolous horse-related name (Gelding? Filly? Thoroughbred?) if you want to keep the lineage front of mind. But Mustang? Makes no sense at all. I saw a gaggle of them in California, Arizona and Nevada last year on a holiday road trip, and the sight of them mixing it up in US traffic did nothing to convince me the Mach-E should be called Mustang.
