Mercedes-AMG is beefing up it’s local offering with the introduction of a host of new models and significant upgrades to current ones.

The performance badge is extending its product portfolio with the 53-series models of the CLS, E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet, while the C 63 S model range – Sedan, Coupe and Cabriolet – has been enhanced.

53 Series models The 53-series models of the CLS, E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet combine powerful performance with sporting style and high efficiency. At the heart is the new electrified 3.0 litre in-line engine with twin forced induction delivered by the combination of an exhaust-driven turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor.

The six-cylinder in-line engine offers top performance and intelligent electrification in a single unit. It produces an output of 320kW and develops a peak torque of 520Nm.

The powertrain is coupled with the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission, which impresses with extremely short shift times, fast response to shift paddle commands, double-declutching function and multiple downshift s. Whether automatic or initiated by the driver using the steering wheel shift paddles, upshift s or downshift s are implemented instantly.

Especially in the “Sport+” and in manual driving modes, the transmission is very responsive powerful V8 engines, thrilling driving dynamics and distinct design have made the AMG C 63 S model range a bestseller.

The Sedan, Coupe and Cabriolet now feature a sharper exterior, a modernised interior and even more agility. The fast-shifting AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission, the electronically controlled rear-axe differential, and the nine-stage AMG traction control take longitudinal and lateral dynamics to a new level.

AMG dynamics enhances driving pleasure, too: this built-in dynamic handling control extends the functions of the ESP, allowing precisely measured torque distribution on the rear axle (Torque Vectoring), which increases agility while maintaining a high level of stability.

The new C 63 S has a more emotive look, too: the AMG-specific radiator trim underscores the brand identity while emphasising the muscular appearance. The interior benefits from an optional fully digital cockpit with unmistakable AMG displays and the new generation of AMG steering wheels.

The proven AMG 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine puts out 375kW, while the maximum torque is 700Nm. Depending on body style, the C 63 S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The C 63 S Sedan and Coupe have a top speed of 290km/h and the C 63 S Cabriolet reaches 280 km/h (electronically limited in each case). The typical V8 engine sound is another key element of the AMG driving experience. The C 63 S comes as standard with an AMG exhaust system with a variable flap.
