It was September, 1921 when Maybach Motorenbau GmbH presented its first mass-produced car at the motor show in Berlin. The model was named W3 and it was the first German production car with four-wheel brakes, an epicyclic gear system, and an interior with the finest materials.

To commemorate the event, Maybach launched the special “Edition 100”. It will be based on both the S-Class and the GLS, each limited to 100 units. In Europe, orders will begin in the fourth quarter of 2021 and sales at the beginning of 2022. The U.S. market will only get the sedan version with sales to begin in the first half of 2022.
