Mercedes-AMG’s flagship model will soon take its last bow in Australia, as order books close ahead of the new SL roadster’s reveal within the coming weeks.

Unveiled in coupe form in late 2014, and Roadster guise two years later – followed by a mid-life facelift for the entire range in 2018-19 – the two-door AMG GT is offered in a broad spread of variants in Australia, from the ‘entry-level’ $294,200 before on-road costs GT Coupe Night Edition, to mid-tier GT C and GT R models, and the flagship circa-$800,000 GT Black Series.
