It feels like Mazda has been dragging its feet when it comes to entering the electrification market, doesn’t it? I mean, as of now, the company is one of the few stragglers out there that doesn’t have a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle while the competition is already deep in the field, so to speak. All of that is about to change soon. Mazda is set to bring a new EV to the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show and, to top things off, it’s being boasted as an all-new model that features an all-new platform and design. In other words, it won’t just be a redressed Mazda 3 or Mazda 5 as we see automakers like BMW and Mercedes are doing.
