Six months after it showed the concept version, Jeep has unveiled the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in production guise, proclaiming “a premium American icon is reborn as the new standard of sophistication, authenticity and modern mobility.”

Jeep said pricing starts at $57,995 for the Wagoneer and at $86,995 for the Grand Wagoneer.

“The all-new 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer mark the rebirth of a premium American icon,” Jeep said, “with legendary capability courtesy of three available 4×4 systems, exceptional driving dynamics, powerful performance, including best-in-class towing capability of up to 10,000 pounds, advanced technology, safety and a new level of comfort for up to eight passengers – all wrapped in a sophisticated and authentic new design culminating in an undeniable presence.”

“We are ready to start a new exciting adventure with a model that wrote some of the most iconic pages in the history of the American automobile,” added Christian Meunier, Jeep brand chief executive. “Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are born from the Jeep brand, but they have a flair of their own, building on a rich heritage of craftsmanship and refinement, while offering new levels of sophistication, comfort and legendary 4×4 capability, as well as a new level of customer service.”

The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer return Jeep to the full-size SUV segment. The vehicles will be available at dealerships in the second half of 2021, Jeep added.

“Wagoneer, designed and engineered to compete in the heart of the large SUV segment, appeals to the classic, ever-growing American family and the couple that has it all,” the company said.
