In the US, the Ford F-150 Raptor twin-turbo V6 will soon be joined by a V8 Raptor R edition. But the Internet forgot it was announced a year ago. Here’s a quick recap.
V8 power will return to the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor in the US some time this year, with a Raptor R version soon to be sold alongside the twin-turbo V6 after fans asked for more grunt.
But someone on the Internet rediscovered the announcement over the weekend, triggering a fresh cycle of news-scraping from motoring websites around the world.
The Ford F-150 Raptor R V8 promises to be epic, and a rival to the supercharged Ram 1500 TRX.
While the Ram 1500 TRX will soon be available locally through official importer Ram Trucks Australia, there are no current plans by Ford Australia to bring the F-150 Raptor Down Under.
