A hotter, lighter Hyundai i30 N is coming to the Frankfurt motor show this year wearing some performance parts we’ve previously seen teased.
Hyundai is readying a lighter, more focused take on its i30 N Performance for the Frankfurt motor show, complete with a raft of previously-teased add-ons.
The ‘unique specification’ will include carbon-fibre reinforced plastic parts and racier 19-inch alloy wheels, designed to make the Project C ‘notably lighter’ than the (slightly porky) standard car – which tips the scales at 1429kg.
Although there are no pictures of the cabin, Hyundai is promising a set of Alcantara-trimmed bucket seats will feature alongside lashings of carbon-fibre trim.

The media release also promises ‘dedicated aerodynamic touches’ for a racier drive, although exactly what that means remains to be seen.
Power will come from the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine offered in the N Performance, which means we can expect 202kW and 353Nm put to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
Hyundai will build just 600 examples of the Project C, which will be revealed at the Frankfurt motor show.
