New safety regulations have killed the Nissan GT-R in Australia, with the 14-year-old supercar to reach the end of the road Down Under this November.
Priced from $155,800 before on-road costs in 2009, the original R35 GT-R’s list price was on par with a BMW M3 sedan, and a third of that of the cheapest Lamborghini – yet it could stick with the latter on a circuit, or outrun it in a straight line, with a quick dual-clutch gearbox, all-wheel-drive traction, and an impressive 0-100km/h time close to the 3.0-second mark.
