Cars are one of the human inventions that most captivated man’s imagination. This is especially true for supercars, which is why many people compare their seductive curves to those of a beautiful woman. Given that supercars (and by extension cars) can be viewed as living beings, as opposed to a means of transport, it’s only fair that they have the appropriate names.
Since McLaren returned to making road cars, their names seemed like a bit of an afterthought. The main offender was the MP4-12C, which according to some journalists sounded like it belonged to a fax machine. But all that is about to change, as McLaren recently filed trademarks for three non-numeric names.
