The ageing Ford Transit van will be more expensive from the beginning of next year.

Ford Australia is preparing to increase the price of its Ford Transit line-up, with all variants in the range set to go up by between $300 and $500 – despite it being one of the oldest vans in the segment.
A spokesperson for Ford told Drive the increase is scheduled to come into effect on January 1, 2022.
“The price adjustment is consistent with the evaluation of market conditions we regularly undertake across our product portfolio, which take into consideration a number of different external factors such as currency and material cost considerations,” the spokesperson said.
The entry-level short wheelbase variant now start from $43,590 before on-road costs, up from $43,290 in October 2021.
Meanwhile, the flagship 12-seater bus model now starts from $64,190 before on-road costs, up from $63,690.
In all variants of the Ford Transit sold in Australia, a recently revised 2.0-litre turbo diesel four-cylinder engine sends 125kW/390Nm to the front wheels, via a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission.
