2022 Buick Enclave

In addition to providing some new details about its redesigned 2021 Envision SUV, Buick gave an early look today at the next update in its lineup: the 2022 Enclave, a three-row mid-size SUV. We don’t have any more details on the upcoming model beyond that it will still offer seven seats and a range-topping Avenir trim, but the overall dimensions and body structure look to be the same as the current 2021 model.

In terms of design, it’s not that great a departure from the current version of the Enclave and not nearly as much of a redo as we just saw with the newly redesigned 2021 Envision, which switched platforms and got completely new dimensions and suspensions, plus a new interior and powertrain. By contrast, the 2022 Enclave’s overall shape is the same, and its lights, grille and bumpers don’t look all that different. We’ll have to wait and see about changes under the hood and inside when Buick gives us more information, which the brand said will be “sometime later this year.” Stay tuned.
