Richer imagery, better content layout, and easier access to new-car showrooms – welcome to the new Drive.com.au homepage
As part of our program of continuous improvement of the Drive.com.au website, attention has moved to the most prominent place of all, the homepage.
We’ve created a new, wider, carousel to sit at the very top of the page to hero our best and freshest content.
You’ll note that on a desktop this is now placed right below the navigation bar and above any ad units. We wanted your first experience of the site to be our content, which is now showcased with even richer imagery.
Also above any ad units, you’ll find shortcut links to each of the three key areas of the site.
Choosing to Research a car, by either MAKE or MODEL will take you to the recently updated new-car showrooms. These showcase the brands and models currently in-market and provide quick access to news, reviews and features about your selected car.
The team has been steadily growing the volume of dealers and inventory offering real cars ready for you to buy right now. What’s more, there are even more improvements to this part of the Drive.com.au website in the works.
Below these buttons, which can be accessed from any page on the site by clicking Find a car in the menu bar, are showroom quick links.
Here we’ll list the top-selling cars, or most affordable electric cars, or even the newest cars to hit the Australian market. Each model icon will take you to that vehicle showroom where you can access even more content, or begin the path to purchase.
With Drive TV, the Drive Podcast and of course Drive Car of the Year all vying for your attention, there’s never a shortage of content to consume.
The new homepage gives the site a more modern ‘refresh’ but most importantly, allows you to get to the content you want more easily.
This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of updates and improvements to the Drive.com.au site too, with a heap of great features and content planned for 2023 and beyond.
Let us know what you think of the new look, and what other features you would love to see here at Drive as we continue to provide the most comprehensive automotive content to an ever-growing audience.
