We are months away from the M2’s launch, and it will
be the last ICE-powered M car without any touch of electrification. Also, the cheapest M coupe will be offered with a manual transmission, which clearly indicates that, unlike other major German automakers, BMW defies the idea of ditching the third pedal. In fact, a recent report from Autocar states that the M boss Frank van Meel wants to keep the manual transmission alive as long as possible.
