The First Edition runs with unique badges and interior finishes, designed to celebrate the brand’s British heritage.
Bentley has welcomed the Flying Spur to its line-up with a limited-run First Edition, complete with a range of unique trim add-ons.
Revealed at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Gala, the First Edition will only be offered for the first 12 months of Flying Spur production.
Separating it from the regular Flying Spur is a range of trim add-ons with a distinctly British theme. There’s a First Edition badge modelled on the Union Jack, and the ‘Flying B’ Bentley emblem on the bonnet has been given a redesign for 2019 with illuminated wings.
It automatically folds away when the car is locked, and deploys as the driver approaches.
The interior is home to a raft of First Edition emblems scattered around the cabin – in the headrests and on the door sills, for example – and the dash houses the optional Rotating Display. Also standard is the ‘Touring Specification’ package, which brings lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and a night vision system.
Bentley will offer wheels up to 22 inches in diameter, but owners will be able to customise their cars to within an inch of their lives. First Edition buyers will be able to specify their cars using the ‘co-creation luxury service’, working side-by-side with the Bentley design team in Crewe to tailor the design.
Regardless of exterior specification, the Flying Spur is powered by a 6.0-litre W12 engine pumping out 467kW and 900Nm. It’s mated with a ZF eight-speed transmission, shared with the two-door Continental GT.
