Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1968 Dodge Super Bee.
This Mopar was restored 20 years ago under previous ownership, with the exterior refinished in yellow with black Super Bee bumblebee stripe. The yellow exterior is complemented by a black grille, functional black Ramcharger hood and quad LED headlights.
“The front bench seat, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl,” the listing states. “Features include black carpet with black carpeted floor mats and a Super Bee logo, yellow interior sheet metal, and a Hurst “Pistol Grip” manual transmission shifter. Additional features include power steering and brakes, manual windows, a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo with a hideaway screen, and a black dashboard with a black top pad.”
Under the hood is a rebuilt and blueprinted GTX-sourced 440cid V8 Magnum engine with a pair of four-barrel carburetors. The engine features a custom air cleaner and intake assembly, aluminum intake and aluminum valve covers. This Mopar features a four-speed manual transmission with a Pistol Grip shifter.
This Super Bee features power front disc brakes plus rear disc brakes borrowed from a Ford Crown Victoria. New floor panels, trunk panels and subframe connectors were installed during the restoration. The full-length dual-exhaust system has been equipped with electric cut-outs. Fifteen-inch chrome Magnum wheels with staggered-width BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires complete the package.
The sale includes a clear Ohio title, records and uninstalled hoses.
