The cabin of the next-generation Porsche Panamera sedan adopts styling and technology from the Taycan electric car.
The interior of the 2024 Porsche Panamera has been unveiled ahead of the new sedan’s full reveal – including its exterior without camouflage, and technical specifications – later this month.
As previously reported, the Panamera is receiving one more generation with petrol and plug-in hybrid engine options before it goes electric towards the end of the decade – sold alongside the slightly-smaller Taycan.
The new model’s interior draws heavily from Porsche’s electric Taycan, with no fewer than three screens: a 12.6-inch digital instrument display, a central infotainment touchscreen, and a touchscreen for the front passenger.
There are fewer physical controls than before, and many of the climate-control functions appear to have been moved into the touchscreen – however some traditional rocker switches remain for air temperature and likely fan speed.
The air vents are electrically adjustable, while the gear selector has moved from the centre console to a toggle switch next to the steering wheel.
A head-up display can be ordered as an option, along with full-width ambient lighting, and a leather-free interior for the first time, combining Race-Tex suede with Pepita patterned fabric.
All models benefit from new seat foam for improved comfort, while long-wheelbase Executive versions have “newly contoured rear seat system, which offers an optimised seating position,” according to Porsche.
The new Panamera will be available with a range of turbocharged V6 and V8 engines, including a selection of plug-in hybrids. Click here for more details.
The 2024 Porsche Panamera is due to be unveiled on 24 November 2023 in Dubai.
