Mercedes-Benz has updated its two smallest SUVs, with minor cosmetic changes and more standard features across the range in Europe.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB have received a number of minor design changes and more standard features as part of their mid-life update ahead of likely first Australian arrivals later this year.
Mercedes-Benz unveiled the updated GLA and GLB SUVs – the two most affordable in its range – with revised software for the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which is now controlled through touch only, as the ‘trackpad’ controller has been ditched.
The system also gains wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the updated model.
Buyers of either the GLA or GLB will now get 360-degree parking cameras and keyless start as standard in Europe, while those who option the sporty AMG Line package also have access to a heated steering wheel.
Both vehicles have received minor cosmetic changes on the outside, including new alloy wheel designs in 18- and 20-inch forms, and new LED headlight signatures.
The GLA now looks a little less rugged, as its wheel arches are painted rather than left as bare plastic, while both models are available in a new Spectral Blue Metallic colour.
Exact specifications and timing are expected to be announced for Australia in the coming months, though it’s likely the updated models arrive in dealerships in the second half of 2023.
