Skoda has increased the drive-away price on three of its more popular models by up to $2000 – while upping the recommended retail prices of others by up to $2700.
Skoda Australia has upped the drive-away prices on three of its most popular model lines – and increased the recommended retail pricing (before on-road costs) on a total of five vehicles – for the new year, by up to $2000.
In effect from January 1, all Kamiq small SUV variants, all Octavia mid-size car variants, and 162TSI Style versions of the Superb large car are $1000 more expensive drive-away than before, while Skoda Australia has hit flagship Superb 206TSI Sportline grades with a $2000 drive-away price increase.
Prices before on-road costs have also increased across the Kamiq, Octavia and Superb model lines, as well as the Scala small car and recently-facelifted Kodiaq large SUV, with prices up by between $950 and $2700.
However, the drive-away prices – which include dealer delivery, registration, stamp duty and other government charges, and are the final prices buyers pay – for the Scala and Kodiaq are unchanged.
No changes have been made to standard specification, Drive understands, with the price rises attributed to “cost pressures” within the manufacturing and shipping processes.
A Skoda Australia spokesperson told Drive: “We’ve attempted to soften the RRP increase via more favourable drive-away price increases across the three most readily available models in the range.”
Full price rises for all affected models are included below.
