Porsche celebrates 50 years of Porsche Design with a special 911 Edition 50 Years

The sports car is offered in either Black or Jet Black Metallic – a tribute to the first Porsche Design product, the Chronograph I. The paint is highlighted by Platinum finish used for the Targa bar and the
‘Porsche Design’ decorative film on the doors.

The car rides on a set of wheels similar to 911 Turbo S: 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. They are also painted in Platinum and feature Porsche crests contrasting hub covers. The brake calipers are painted black, just like the rest of the exterior. The final element is an exclusive ‘Porsche Design 50th Anniversary Edition’ badge placed on the slats of the rear lid grille.

The interior will be trimmed in a special Black leather with Slate Grey contrasting seams

For the interior, Porsche opted for a special Black leather with Slate Grey contrasting seams. The seats also have the center panels inspired by the classic 911 S 2.4 Targa and feature a check pattern in Black and Cool Grey. The 12 o’clock marking on the leather-bound GT sports steering wheel and the seat belts are also offered in Slate Grey. A special ‘Porsche Design 50th Anniversary’ logo is embossed on the headrest and on the aluminum door entry guards. A Porsche Design Subsecond clock placed on the dashboard is offered as standard.

Being based on the 911 Targa 4 GTS, the model is offered with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that delivers a total of 473 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. It will be offered with standard eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, but manual transmission fans can also opt, at no cost, for a seven-speed transmission.
