What changes were made under the hood?
The twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 has been tricked with a MHtronik auxiliary control unit and ECU remapping
In its base form, the BMW X5 M Competition is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. For those who want more, Manhart is offering a MHtronik auxiliary control unit and ECU remapping.
The tuner also installed a new stainless steel exhaust system, with valve control and end pipes without catalytic converters. After all these changes, the V-8 engine delivers a total of 730 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque.
What’s different on the exterior and the interior?
The kit however is about more than just the extra 200 horsepower under the hood. For the exterior, Manhart is offering a body kit made out of carbon fiber. It includes a new hood with GTR air intakes and a new front spoiler, new side skirts and mirror caps, and for the rear a two-piece spoiler and a diffuser. The car is painted in the same black Manhart used us with combined with gold trim strips.
The car also rides on a new set of 22-inch satin black Concave One wheels with gold rim decoration and wrapped in high performance tires size 295/30ZR22. The new wheels are combined with a high-performance braking system and optimized suspension with H&R springs that lower the car’s ride.
The interior wasn’t neglected either and it was equipped with new shift paddles, a new steering wheel spoke trim made of carbon and embroidered floor mats.
