The Isuzu D-Max ute range has been overhauled a year after the new generation ute went on sale, with more standard equipment, new models, higher prices, and a lower payload on certain variants.

A new D-Max model grade that slots between the mid-range LS-U and flagship X-Terrain – dubbed the Isuzu D-Max LS-U Plus, which gains leather seats, push-button start, tub liner, and tow hitch receiver – will, bizarrely, have a drive-away price that’s higher than the top-of-the-range X-Terrain.
