Fresh beginnings are on the cards for Renault in 2021, with a new nameplate and a series of updates and facelifts.
Renault’s sales in 2020 decreased by more than 70 per cent compared to the year prior, amid overall dwindling sales in the automotive sector.
Notably, the French marque announced it would farewell its Clio hatchback from the Australian line-up in August 2020, after it managed only 23 sales in all of 2020 before getting the axe.
This absence was counteracted by the arrival of the new Kadjar SUV in late 2019, which sold 478 units as of November 2020, on top of the 108 sales it managed in late 2019.
After a somewhat lacklustre sales year, 2021 is looking action-packed for Renault, with the arrival of an updated Koleos SUV, a facelifted Megane RS, an upgraded Trafic, a new-gen Kangoo and, finally, the all-new Arkana small SUV.
