Range Rover has plenty to celebrate on its 50th anniversary, with five model updates expected to launch in 2021.
Like many brands in the luxury SUV segment, Range Rover experienced decreased sales volumes in 2020, likely due to the challenging market conditions brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
The British brand has shifted 3376 vehicles year-to-date (up to the end of November 2020), compared with 5013 over the same period in 2019 – a 33 per cent decline.
The updated 2021 Range Rover has been confirmed to arrive in early 2021, with the luxury SUV gaining an all-new, mild-hybrid diesel powertrain and two new model variants.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the limited-run Range Rover Fifty Edition is expected in early 2021 (alongside its standard counterpart), based on the range-topping Autobiography. Just 1970 of the commemorative special editions will be made, with 37 finding homes in Australia.
