Wearing what appears to be a meaner face and grille. Then again, there is a LOT of camouflage on board.

The next-generation 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been snapped in public for the first time, offering a peek at what will replace the recently-updated W205 model.

As you’d imagine of a prototype this far from launch, this vehicle is disguised with body add-ons, lots of blank-and-white wrap, and false grilles.

With that said, the window line of the car is definitely different to that of the current model, while the nose is lower. It’s similar in profile to the S-Class prototypes that have been snapped lately, although the A-Class Sedan is also a good guide for what the car could look like.

They’re hidden under tacked-on fakes, but we’d wager the current vertically-stacked tail-lights will be replaced by a variation of the wide units from the A-Class when the car is fully revealed.

Those headlights look like they’ve adopted a more aggressive ‘predator’ look from the CLS and A-Class, too. It’s well concealed, but the grille will also likely evolve into a more aggressive, slimline unit.
