A seatbelt anchor in the left-hand third-row seat may not perform as required during a collision, according to Jaguar Land Rover Australia.
Jaguar Land Rover Australia has recalled nine examples of its Land Rover Discovery, citing a potential fault with the seatbelt anchors.
The affected Discovery vehicles were sold between 30 September 2020 and 26 October 2020, and are stamped Model Year 2020.
The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says: “The upper anchor point for the seatbelt for the left hand side third row seat (C-D pillar) has not been installed correctly.”
“The plastic trim covering the fixing hole and the body mounted upper anchor point are misaligned – this misalignment can cause plastic material to become trapped in the fixing threads during installation of the upper anchorage fixing during vehicle assembly, which may result in reduced clamp load, lack of full thread engagement or damage to the fastener bolt,” the notice continues.
