Vehicles Affected: Approximately 3,400 model-year 2020 Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse SUVs
The Problem: The right-hand frame rail in the engine compartment may be cracked, reducing crash performance and increasing the risk of an injury.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the SUV for free.
What Owners Should Do: Buick and Chevrolet manufacturer GM did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call Buick at 800-521-7300, Chevrolet at 800-630-2438, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
