Upcoming crossover model does some laps around the ‘Ring, and shows off its Benz-heavy interior.
The new Aston Martin DBX has been spotted during development testing at the famed Nurburgring, and we’ve now got images of the crossover’s interior ahead of its reveal later this year.
Compared to the official camouflaged image series released in November last year, not much has changed on the exterior – it’s still heavily camouflaged, and it’s still not that attractive.
In saying that, there’s still a way to go before we see the final design before the end of the year, so we’ll withhold our judgement on that front, however, the interior might spark some controversy.
As you can see here, just about the entire centre stack, along with he steering wheel and electric seat adjustment switches, are straight out of the Mercedes-Benz part bin.
It’s unclear just how much of these components will make it to the production model, though we’d argue the basic switchgear and infotainment interface will come straight from the German marque.
What should also come from Mercedes is what’s under the bonnet, expected to be a version of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 shared with most of the AMG line-up, along with Aston Martin’s own Vantage and DB11 sports cars.
