Wiring issues on some Mercedes-Benz GLC300e vehicles could cause them to lose drive to the wheels.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 492 examples of its 2020-2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC300e citing a potential fault with wiring.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says “the transmission wiring may have been routed incorrectly and may contact the front driveshaft. This may result in an unexpected loss of traction.”

The notice warns an unexpected loss of traction while driving can cause an accident.
