Following a recall of some 1,200 Alfa Romeo Stelvios early in the month, April closes with another Stellantis SUV on the hook for an issue with its airbags. This time, it’s more than 2,700 examples of the 2020-21 Dodge Durango three-row SUV that are affected.

At fault is the side airbag inflatable curtain fastener, which may be loose or missing. A loose or missing fastener may cause the side curtain airbag to deploy incorrectly, increasing the risk of injury.
To resolve the problem, dealers will tighten or replace the fastener for free. Dodge parent Stellantis will begin notifying owners June 11; those with further questions can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
