The look of a V8 Supercar without the price!
The Ford Falcon XT SR was a great ‘poverty package’ option for people only wanting to spend $30,000 and some change back in 2004.
It out-performs the competitor Commodore of the same year and handles 10/10. Buying it as my first car has really paid off as parts are readily available almost 20 years later.
The factory sound system could do with an aftermarket upgrade, but other than that, this is an ideal first car given the strong depreciation of these to date.
Acceleration from 0–100km/h is just over seven seconds. Fuel consumption combined is between 11–12L per 100km. Boot capacity is huge with room for a full-sized spare.
With plenty of MOMO accessories still being sold, there is no way you can go wrong with the V8 Supercars BA XT.
