Take a look at this 1953 Ford Mainline Ranch Wagon up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com. It’s powered by a rebuilt “Mileage Marker” 215cid inline-6 engine paired with a 3-speed manual.
The exterior is finished in a factory two-tone Seafoam and Timberline Green.
During a restoration, done under previous ownership by Nick Alexander Restoration & Upholstery in Huntington Park, California, the brightwork was re-chromed and tinted glass added.
The body is also equipped with a roof rack with a silver frame and wood slats.
Tan vinyl covers the front and rear bench seats, door cards and headliner. Factory equipment includes both a heater and defroster along with an AM radio that was refreshed during the restoration. Additions include a stick-on compass and a dancing hula girl.
The “Mileage Maker” 215cis overhead-valve inline-6 engine was rebuilt during the restoration and retains many of the factory components, including the oil-bath air cleaner. The car also retains the original 6-volt electrical system.
The odometer shows 88,367, although true mileage is unknown.
