Would this work at all with a random orbital? To cover a larger scratched area like the entire arc of a rear windshield?

I hope you can appreciate an advice from less experienced detailer. We have been doing it in Poland (and now I do it in UK) for years. Kits are expensive and not always 'great'. You can make such kit on a budget mixing cerium oxide and distilled water 1:1. Use felt pad (that's very important) attached to drill or rotary buffer. Do not exceed 1500 rpm. Spray mist of water on the glass and liberally spray felt disc too. Add cerium oxide mix onto a pad (5 pea drops is fine) and slowly do 2-3 passes. IMPORTANT not to stop moving to avoid creating what I call focal indentations. Add mist of water and bit more cerium oxide and repeat. It is loooong proces as glass is hard. While windscreen usually takes few hours! Side effects: deep scratches will stay and concoction will fill in all tiny stone chips and will make them more visible. It will disappear with time and as you clean the windscreen. TIP: maintain moist windscreen as you polish. Please try and I hope to see next video with your opinion. Keep on mentoring. I salute you 🙂

    Some people watch pornography
    I watch Darren's Videos.
….of course….not for the same reasons. (Although Fit as you are. ps lookin good in this video Darren)
PS the people that complain about the length of information etc etc. You have a professional detailer with 30+ years of experience who has lengthy information he posts for FREE to you and you have the nerve to complain.
-If you want a short video , there are plenty on YouTube.
-The website Darren has is friggin amazing. Awesome compliment to the videos. https://www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com
    – I thought the same thing as everyone else when i first came across Darren, but i was ignorant to what i didn't know then.
PS just bought an OXO Good Grips Brush for helping my friend do his Carpet and clicked the link through your website Darren. Thank You Very Much.

I would have preferred watching you share more of your personal insights, and your proven methodology. I know you want to show amateurs how to use the Amazon kit as designed. But with all your experience, I'm sure you do a lot better with one of your DA or rotary polishers than that awkward drill rig. I also suspect you probably use a rayon pad and cerium oxide compound, or a product like Griot's fine glass polish to remove light scratches; and, leave really nasty scratches to glass pros.

Darren, have to say I really appreciate your videos, the way you approach the explanations from a business standpoint, and speak to getting the best results for the job at that moment. Not every job is a full strip down and power polish/wet sand or whatever. Sometimes clients are just looking for a good short term visual. 99% of being successful in any industry is communication with the client and implementation of what they expect for a price you can both agree on. Keep up the great work.

Good video. Nice seeing someone who thinks in the same depth in detail as I do, even though I don't know anyone in person who does, but hey, I enjoy watching your videos.

Heat is not wanted and will only bring the risk of a cracked windscreen to the party.
