I'm planning to buy another new car, my other car that I bought brand new last year doesn't have a ceramic coating but because I have an unlimited monthly car wash pass. I always went to the car wash at least twice a week whenever it's dirty. They have the machine and afterwards a group of people will wipe it off manually with the cloth and hand. But my car has a lot og microscratch, still looks nice and new after the car wash but when you come closer you'll start to notice the micro scratch.
So is it good to have the ceramic coating protection to my new upcoming car or not if I always go to the auto carwash that I mentioned? Thanks
I don’t recommend a ceramic coating for anyone, it’s very expensive and doesn’t actually last that long, plus you have to come in every 6 months or 1 year for a “maintenance” job.
The spray waxes cost 15-20 max and give you 3-10 applications. Each application lasts at LEAST 3 months, and up to 6. I take 5 minutes to apply the $15 spray coating 3 ties a year and have just as much protection and hydrophobic properties as all my buddies who spent $1000+ on cars that they are going to sell in 2-3 years.
I really enjoyed your honesty on the coating . My only wish is I wish you were located in MA
thanks
Yeah good luck trying to remove that ceramic coating Lol 😅
LOL. Thanks for all your information. No, I will not get added Ceramic Coating protection – as you say a waste of money for me.
My vehicle does normal traffic driving. I just do the normal hand washes and waxes and just try to keep the dirt and salt off of my vehicle the best I can being in Northern Illinois. If it also gets some micro scratches, so be it.
I am pretty sure my vehicle is going to get allot more Dings on it while doing my normal traffic driving.
Pretty sure Ceramic Coatings are not going to protect against small projectiles hitting my car from other vehicles.

"The only way to keep your vehicle looking in it's best shape possible"……….. is to leave it in the garage 🤭
It does no protect your paint from the shopping cart demon or the door digging Keren at your local supermarket parking lot. You still have to park at the far end of the parking lot away from the store entrance to reduce the incidence of paint dings.
Total lies . Nobody charges $2500 For Coating.. lol
It's the other way around!!!
I use and abuse my cars. I use thick protective film on my latest Asian terrain vehicle, which I abuse the most.
I use coatings to make washing easy…ca. 5 min.
I haphardly applied a ceramic coating to my vehicle; the car exploded and 7 people were killed.
