Scotty, what are the top four newer automatic transmissions made and we know Toyota will be #1:). I ask because you say Honda is a good car and they have a CVT transmission but so does Nissan. What’s up with that?
Good video Scotty, thank you. I have a Toyota Rav4 2007 Limited with 50,000 miles. the only maintenance that I remember doing is Oil and Filter 2 or 3 times a year, regularly. I had the water pump and the timing chain changed when was 30,000 miles, brake shoes and engine gasket at 47,000 miles. It runs perfectly well. I will sure appreciate the answer to the following question ,,, what other maintenance does it need? (I was wondering about transmission fluid, but after listening your video I won't). I will be looking forward to your reply in this very same video space in about two or three days.
Scotty, Why don't the Chinese make the Oil Cartridge to Spin on Oil Filter Adapter and sell it on EBay? The only company that you had mentioned making these Oil Filter Cartridge Adapters is Baxter Performance but the cost is $200 for an 09 Toyota Corolla. I'm like you, I'm cheap and I'm not paying $200. I would pay $35 for a Chinese knock-off. I hate oil filter cartridges. It's the worst thing on a Toyota.
Just did this yesterday, 09 ford fusion, trans filter change -> Royal PITA ! but I got it done.
Just bought a 2007 ford fusion with 128 k and unknown history for $700 the fluid has lost a little pink but smells good.
Should I change the filter?
If I replace the fluid can I use an additive?
I know it belonged to a lady who bought it new. I got it from my neighbor and it sat for a year or so. They never registered it.
The way the fluid looks and smells, I would guess its been changed once. I hate guessing.
