Toyota has been using 8 speeds since 2007 in Lexus models so it’s not really new tech
Toyota needs to go back to one speeds
I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Toyota with an 8 speed. I'm a Chrysler tech our 8 speeds are solid. They may shift a bit harsh but they are good.
